Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina works to fight hunger across 24 counties in North and South Carolina by soliciting and distributing food and household essentials through a network of more than 950 partner agencies like pantries, shelters, and meal programs.

Why It Matters

Millions of individuals and families in the region face food insecurity β€” and without support, many go hungry or compromise on nutrition. Second Harvest helps fill that gap by connecting surplus food and donations to the most vulnerable.

How You Can Help

  • Donate β€” Every dollar stretches: Second Harvest reports that every $1 can put roughly 7 pounds of food into circulation.

  • Volunteer β€” Whether regularly or occasionally, volunteers help sort, inspect, and box food for distribution.

  • Spread the Word β€” Share their mission with your network so more people know how to help or access food assistance.
